Your first submission is on us: what's included, and how to start

A real tender, prepared with every Business feature inside a free account. What's included, the card, how long it lasts, and the steps.

By the Offra team ·

In a free Offra account, your first submission is on us: a real tender, prepared with every Business plan feature, from the first document to filing. A card is asked for to activate it. It is verified, never charged, and no subscription starts.

Here is what that submission includes, how to activate it, and what happens once the closing date has passed.

The free account comes first

The free submission lives in a free account, which does not expire. The account brings the open notices from SEAO, CanadaBuys and the municipal portals we follow into one list, with one search. On SEAO notices, filters drawn from the notice's own text keep what it demands: a bid bond, an RBQ licence, a Revenu Québec attestation, a mandatory site visit. The account keeps one saved search, whose new notices arrive by email, and the notices you follow.

The free account reads the public notice; it does not judge it, and it does not prepare a bid. That is what the free submission adds, on one tender. The free account is covered in detail in what SEAO does, and what Offra adds.

What the free submission includes

Every Business plan feature, on one tender:

Activated from a SEAO notice's page, it also includes the full report on that notice.

How to activate it, step by step

  1. Create a free account. We email you a link that opens it.
  2. Find your company among those that have already bid. If it has never bid on a public tender, choose « My company has never bid » and tell us what you do.
  3. In « Opportunities », open the notice you want to bid on, then click « Submit a bid ».
  4. Click « Activate my free submission ». Stripe asks for a card and verifies it.
  5. The submission opens. Add the tender's documents: a SEAO notice's documents come from SEAO, and a CanadaBuys notice's documents import in one click. The analysis starts when they are in.

A tender that is not in Offra, an invitation-only call for instance, is prepared the same way: start from « New submission » and add its documents.

The card, and one submission per card

The card does one thing: it limits the offer to one submission. Stripe verifies it with your bank and saves it. It is never charged for this submission, and no subscription starts.

A given card is entitled to it once. So is a given company, once it is linked to an account, even if that account is deleted later. A company that has never bid is entitled to it like any other.

How long the AI features stay on

The submission stays yours for as long as your account exists: the tasks, the owners, the files and the export. The artificial-intelligence features, such as the analysis, the drafted answers and the review, stay on until 30 days after the closing date. That covers the questions and clarifications that often come after bids close.

If an addendum postpones the notice, the window follows the new date. A submission with no closing date, such as a tender you upload yourself, gets 90 days from activation. All of it within reasonable use.

And afterwards

Your account stays free: the notice list, the saved search and the notices you follow carry on. Preparing more submissions takes a plan, Professional or Business; their prices are on the pricing page. The terms give the offer in full.

Frequently asked questions

Is it a subscription?

No. No subscription starts, and the account stays free. The card is verified and never charged for this submission.

Do I need a card?

To activate the free submission, yes. Stripe verifies it and saves it; it is never charged for this submission.

Which tenders qualify?

An open notice in Offra, whatever its source: SEAO, CanadaBuys or a municipal portal. The bid-or-pass verdict exists on SEAO notices only. Started from « New submission », the free submission also works for a tender that is not in Offra.

My company has never bid. Does it qualify?

Yes. When you sign up, choose « My company has never bid » and tell us what you do.

How many people can work on it?

Up to 10, you included. Invite your colleagues from the submission, or from Settings, Members.

What happens after the closing date?

The AI features stay on for 30 days after the closing date, then stop. The submission itself stays yours.

Can I get a second one?

No: it is one per card, and one per company once the company is linked. Further submissions come with a plan.
