The public market, region by region
Quebec publishes its public tenders in SEAO. Here is what that data says about each of the seventeen administrative regions: how many contracts open there, which kinds of body publish them, what goes out to tender, and how many competitors to expect.
One report per region, rebuilt on every reading. Everything is computed from published notices — nothing is declared by a company, and no figure here comes from a model.

A notice can name several regions of delivery when the work is province-wide. The map splits each notice between the regions it names, so that the seventeen totals reproduce the Quebec total exactly. The table below uses the same basis.

“Bidders” is the median per tender and “single bid” the share of tenders that received only one — two ways of reading the same thing, how intense the competition is. Both columns cover the tenders whose bids are published with amounts, a narrower population than the “notices / yr” column. Each regional page gives both denominators.
